Kevin Gerald's The Artist is an acoustic song about an artist, falling in love and sailing.
Kevin Gerald plays his Taylor Jumbo guitar on this solo acoustic guitar song about falling in love with an artist and living life to its fullest and enjoying life's journey. It's also a love song about wisdom, a song about sailing and a song about the art of living. Drawing inspiration from singer songwriters like Jon Anderson and Graham Nash, Kevin tells the story of a man who falls in love with an artist who teaches him about her love of sailing and the wisdom of enjoying life and understanding that "it's the journey, not just the destination, so you might as well enjoy the ride." Kevin Gerald's A Fair Distance (with Lyrics). Music and Lyrics by Kevin Gerald
In #AFairDistance by #KevinGerald a weary but wizened traveler sings of #truth and the futility of #goodluckcharms and #wishes. I have to thank my friend Christopher for inspiring this song. We were talking over #coffee one night and he randomly says, "I wish I had a magic number." At least that's what I heard. We were in an anteroom at an #openmic in #SantaMonica and it was pretty loud. I started thinking about what I'd do with a magic number. Then all these thoughts came to me about #secrethandshakes, #xrayspecs (remember those for sale in the back of comics?) and #luckyhorseshoes. I heard somewhere that a lucky horseshoe can work wonders, should you ever need to trap the #devil in a jar. Anyway, I performed this song using my trusty 1990 #TaylorJumbo, which I've played on many recordings, videos and live performances. I think it sounds amazing. Love the sound it gave me on my video #LeastResistance which you can find on YouTube at: https://youtu.be/ft5itfwRtgY Thank you for watching: If you enjoyed the song, please like and subscribe to my channel and check out my website.
